2025 Summer Programs

This year, GRIT Hockey is excited to offer Dryland and On-Ice Skills Sessions all inside the Lucan Memorial Arena. We have access to a 3000 square foot indoor training facility, a full sized ice pad, indoor gymnasium, and outside track and field for SAQ Training.

All programs are led by our director, Tommy Caldwell. Tommy has worked with a variety of high-level athletes since 2010, including world junior athletes from 3 different countries, and over 100 OHL, NCAA, European League, and NHL players.

Tommy’s current focus is on developing minor players with the GRIT system- where work ethic, resilience, attitude, and drive take precedence over all other qualities.

On-Ice

All our on ice programs are full except for our second 2013-2016 skills group that runs a 5PM at the Lucan Memorial Arena during the following dates:

July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, Aug 8, Aug 12, Aug 22, Aug 26, Sep 2

Our on-ice sessions are always small group (12 skaters max) and split between fundamental skills and gameplay tactics. We teach our players to compete while sharpening the skills required to thrive at the next level of hockey.

Dryland Training

Dryland training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday between 830AM-1130AM inside the Lucan Memorial Arena. Athletes get access to our start of the art gym, outdoor training grounds, and indoor gymnasium. Our dryland program is age appropriate, comprehensive, and the training follows science-based principles for optimal athletic development with the age groups.
